Our Pastor and His Family

Pastor Josh and Laura Lough came to Waunakee, Wisconsin and Grace Community Church in 2004 to serve as the young church’s first pastor and preacher.

»» Josh and Laura Lough met and married while he was a youth pastor and seminary student in Boston, Mass. They have been married over seven years and have two daughters - Savannah Grace and Trinity Hope. They also have a dog (Sniffy).

»» Biblical and Ministry Education. Josh received his Bachelors in Biblical Languages from Moody Bible Institute and Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Laura received her Bachelors in Philosophy and Counseling from Gordon College. While they are glad to have earned these degrees, they understand that the true evidence of a minister’s authority and calling should be demonstrated in changed lives (2 Corinthians 3:1-6).

»» Laura grew up in Maine. She loves being with her family, going out on dates with her husband, good movies, singing, counseling, serving other women, and raising her children in the Lord.

»» Josh grew up in Ohio. He loves listening to sermons, learning and teaching the Word of God, almost all sports (especially football), playing guitar and piano, playing with his girls, going out on dates with his wife, learning and cooking intricate recipes, and studying in bookstores and coffee shops.

More than anything, though, Josh and Laura love seeing others grow to be more like Jesus Christ. This is the goal of their service and the passion of their hearts.
